Frenchay Probus Club

With our programme of regular meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at the Village Hall now in full swing, we were highly entertained on 2nd March by a talk by Cyril Routley featuring his amazing collection of old signs – road signs, product adverts, warning signs, direction indicators etc. Real social history. Nostalgia is not what it used to be!

  • 6 April Speaker: Fred and Diana Ward: ‘The History of Mr Punch’
  • 20 April Speaker: Tim Lewis and Sheila Furneaux: ‘Wind in the Willows’ (Ladies also invited) And followed by a Buffet Lunch
  • 4 May Speaker: Nigel Wright: ‘Trek to Everest Base Camp’
